Another school year is about over

The school year about over, just one more week with the students. It has gone by so fast. These students were so good. I will miss them very much, I wish I could just go to second grade with them. I'm looking forward to summer break. Spending time with the kids, going on vacation with my friend and her daughter. It is such a good life, and God is blessing me in so many ways.

The Flash Flood

This is the street that comes into my subdivision. These pictures were taken by my neighbor because I was at my mom's house sucking water out of her basement. She got about 4 inches of water in the basement. There were rivers flowing in the streets.
This is the picture of the flood at the other end of the subdivision. This picture was also taken by my neighbor, Wendy Harvey.

My street is just one block over from this road, it looks just like a little creek.

So Many Cars....so little time...

This afternoon we went to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. It was for one of my best friend's daughter. She turned 6 on Tuesday, May 5. I remember the day she was born and now 6 years have passed. Jakob had been to Chuck E. Cheese once but this time he was old enough to play on the rides. He was so excited to ride all the car rides. He didn't want to get out of the race car so when the ride would stop I would just hand him some more "Money" tokens. http://chuckecheese.com/

Mother's Day Projects at Lowes

The day started out at Lowes. Both of the kids made planters for their mom. This is a free program at Lowes on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. They even gave out gift cards for $10.00 with each project. Jakob actually hammered today for the first time. Well he hammered, but just not the project. He was so good. We met up with some friends from school, Mrs. Lutz and her grandson. After going to Lowes we are off to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.

Teacher Luncheon

Just look at this cute cake. There is even a worm coming out of the apple on the top. It was so delecious. The parents from our PTO brought us lunch from SubWay and gave us gifts. It was just there way to say thanks for all the hard work you do at school with our children.

Tractor Time

This tractor was sitting by the softball field when we arrived for the game. This caught Jakob's eye right away. Papaw Tim let him try it out. Jakob loved the tractor.
Here he is sitting on the tire.

Driving......Pushing dirt......building roads....... using our imagination.
